These Terms and Conditions govern your use of AfriRem's money transfer services. By registering for or using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
- "AfriRem" refers to the platform providing money transfer services, including its website, mobile application, and related services.
- "User" refers to any individual or entity using AfriRem's services.
- "Services" refers to sending, receiving, and managing money transfers across Africa and internationally.
- "Account" means the user account created to access AfriRem services.
- "Transaction" means any money transfer initiated through the platform.
To use AfriRem, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Not be prohibited by law from using financial services
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
AfriRem reserves the right to verify your eligibility and may deny service to anyone who does not meet these requirements.
- Users must create an account with a valid email address and phone number
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- You agree to notify AfriRem immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- AfriRem reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts with false or misleading information
You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Never share your password with anyone.
AfriRem uses a stepwise verification system to ensure security and regulatory compliance:
Step 1: Basic Verification
- Email and phone number verification
- Allows limited transactions (e.g., under $20)
Step 2: Identity Verification
- Government-issued ID or driver's license
- Selfie or facial verification
- Additional checks may be required
Failure to verify may result in restricted access, lower transaction limits, or account suspension.
You agree to:
- Use AfriRem only for lawful purposes
- Not engage in fraud, money laundering, or illegal transactions
- Not use the platform to send prohibited or restricted funds
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
AfriRem reserves the right to:
- Monitor, review, and block suspicious transactions
- Investigate any potential violations of these terms
- Report suspicious activity to relevant authorities
- All transactions are subject to verification and approval
- Transfer times may vary depending on destination and payment method
- Users must ensure recipient details are accurate before confirming
AfriRem is not responsible for:
- Incorrect recipient information provided by the user
- Delays caused by external financial institutions or mobile money operators
- Losses resulting from user errors or unauthorized access
- AfriRem charges fees for certain transactions
- All applicable fees will be clearly displayed before confirmation
- Exchange rates (if applicable) may include a margin
- Fees are subject to change with prior notice
Always review the fee breakdown before confirming your transaction. No hidden fees — what you see is what you pay.
- Transaction limits apply based on verification level
- Daily, weekly, and monthly limits may be imposed
- AfriRem may adjust limits at any time to comply with regulations or manage risk
Higher limits are available for fully verified users who complete identity verification.
- Users must not share login credentials with anyone
- Any suspicious activity must be reported immediately to support@afrirem.com
- AfriRem implements industry-standard security measures
While we implement robust security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute protection from all risks. Users are encouraged to use strong passwords and enable two-factor authentication where available.
AfriRem collects and processes user data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Personal data is used for:
- Verification and identity confirmation
- Transaction processing and record-keeping
- Fraud prevention and security monitoring
- Communication and customer support
AfriRem may suspend or terminate accounts if:
- Fraud or illegal activity is suspected
- False or misleading information is provided
- Terms are violated
- Required for regulatory compliance
Users may also request account closure at any time by contacting support.
- Transactions cannot be reversed once completed
- Refunds may be issued only in cases of:
- Failed transactions
- System errors on AfriRem's part
- Duplicate payments

AfriRem is not liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses arising from use of services
- Delays caused by third-party providers (banks, mobile money operators)
- User errors (e.g., wrong recipient details, incorrect amounts)
- Losses due to unauthorized account access where user negligence is a factor
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AfriRem's total liability shall not exceed the amount of the transaction in question.
Users agree to comply with all applicable laws related to:
- Financial transactions and money transfers
- Anti-money laundering (AML) regulations
- Counter-terrorism financing (CTF) requirements
- Tax obligations related to received funds
AfriRem may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically for any updates.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Rwanda. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rwanda.
By using AfriRem, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as our KYC/AML Policy, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.
